Canisy Poodles
was established in 1998 by me, Sally Roberts, and my eldest daughter,
Antonia Fillingim. Canisy Poodles is a small, family oriented breeding
program dedicated to the betterment of the breed. Although we have had
a relatively small number of litters, we have based our program on the
guidance of our mentors, many of whom have been breeding for 40 years
or more. Our dogs come from some of the best lines in the history of
the breed, and we spare no expense in ensuring that we breed and raise
dogs that will continue to improve upon the great accomplishments of
breeders before us.
As most reputable breeders,
our goal is to produce dogs that we would want to include as part of
our family and to share our home. To us, this means a dog that is of
sound temperament, healthy, intelligent, loyal, and model the AKC
standard of excellence. All of our standard poodle breeding stock is
tested for Hips, VonWillebrands, Sebaceous Adenitis, Eyes and Thyroid.
